Lime
- Balancing soil pH in harmony with cropping requirements is to assist in the encouragement of strong root development and improved top-soil structure. It also increases the availability of minerals and trace elements essential for plant growth and, ultimately, enterprise productivity through increased plant health, quality, and yield. Adding lime helps release soil nutrients. Fertilisers and manure cannot be fully effective if the land is short of lime. In addition, water that leaches from acid soils may contain undesirable materials which can adversely affect the quality of surface and groundwaters. Very few agricultural operations have such a marked influence on soil husbandry, profitability and the environment as the application of naturally quarried agricultural lime to the land. We can offer different qualities from different origins granulated and powder products to meet all customer requirements.
